Gacé

Gacé is a small market town with a market each Saturday afternoon, a variety of places to dine, and many walks in and around the town. There are a couple of take away restaurants for a kebab or pizza. Saint Evroult Notre Dame du Bois

Saint Evroult Notre Dame du Bois, is only a five minute drive away and is one of those special places, you know it is special but can’t quite work out why. Walking around the lake at a leisurely pace will take about 40 minutes and there is an ideally situated bar at one end of the lake, near to the car park where you can sit down to a beer – wine or coffee and take in the beautiful view over the lake.

Vimoutiérs

Vimoutiérs is a small town which, throughout the year host a range of sporting events including the 24 hour cart and bike races, and even the Tour De France during certain years. There are various bars and restaurants catering for most tastes. Also close to Vimoutiers is the historic village of Ticheville which boasts one of the few vegetarian restaurant's in the region.

L'Aigle

L’Aigle is the home of one of the largest street markets each Tuesday when the town is transformed for the morning, and the variety of goods on offer is truly mind boggling. There is a vast array of shops from gift shops to supermarkets as well. L’Aigle also hosts a variety of events throughout the year.

You can pick up information on all special events from the local tourist office in any of the villages / towns named above. These are extremely useful and obtaining one of these will ensure you do not miss an event that you would enjoy.
